As we go into the holiday season, I am worried
about my tendency to overspend. I’ve been giving myself a little of a break
from watching my finances like a hawk. This probably isn’t the best idea, but
you know what they say…New Year, New Me. Anyway, as of November 30th
(but actually November 22nd, more on that in the next update), my
net worth is
-$14,
216!!!
What??? My net worth went down by almost $1,000
dollars. It sucks, but once again another mistake was made. When I calculated
my net worth in October, I added one of my credit card bills as a negative
number. That means when my net worth calculated, it made it seem like I had
less debt than I actually had. If only it were real. That means my ACTUAL
October net worth was -$15,857. It went up by almost $1000, so that is actually
sad. This month I managed to get a little more in control and brought it back
down by paying off TWO WHOLE CREDIT CARDS! Only two to go!

Briana Francois
Briana Francois is an aspiring producer, a public transportation advocate, and a laugher; some would call that a triple threat. She is passionate about many things. One of her biggest passions is representation in television. Briana believes that every person has a story, and that story is worth telling. She sees improving representation in television as a way of allowing marginalized people to see themselves as major characters in their own lives, not just side characters in the lives of others. By uplifting those in the margins, we ultimately become better citizens of the world.
Briana is also passionate about ending the cycle of poverty through education. In 2018, she joined Teach for America and worked as a High School English and History teacher in rural Alabama. When she’s not working towards her career goals, Briana enjoys making goals in her planner, cooking new recipes, learning about managing money, and developing her own TV schedule to avoid binge watching.
