Happy New-half of the year! I sometimes wish this WAS a new year because 2020 kind of needs a reset, and I love all the anticipation and hope a new year brings. Alas, it’s not, but I still take the beginning of July as its own time for resetting and reflecting. This is a serious time of transition for me. Earlier this week I finished moving out of Marion, the town I lived in for the past two years. I’m in the final stages of figuring out what I’m going to do next. It’s definitely difficult not having a concrete, absolutely sure plan, but I’m learning to find peace in the process.
I know I’ll be moving soon, so last month (and this month), is going to be a lot of preserving finances because I know I’m going to have to be paying for an apartment. All that being said, I don’t expect to see a huge difference in my net worth next month. Still for now, as of July 1st, 2020, my net worth is
-$3,165!
This month was the first time I got to use the IRA line in the spreadsheet I use so I felt pretty successful. I’m also feeling very lucky that I get to see that number go down each month. 2020 has been a LOT, but it may also be the year of a positive net worth!
