Bio

Briana Francois is an aspiring producer, a public transportation advocate, and a laugher; some would call that a triple threat. From August 2014-May 2018, Briana studied Psychology and Cinema and Media Arts with a minor in Corporate Strategy. In studying these things, she was able to combine her passions for people, television, and making things run efficiently.

As you may have noticed, Briana is passionate about many things. One of her biggest passions is representation in television. Briana believes that every person has a story, and that story is worth telling. She sees improving representation in television as a way of allowing marginalized people to see themselves as major characters in their own lives, not just side characters in the lives of others. By uplifting those in the margins, we ultimately become better citizens of the world.

Briana is also passionate about ending the cycle of poverty through education. In 2018, she joined Teach for America and worked as a High School English and History teacher in rural Alabama. When she’s not working towards her career goals, Briana enjoys making goals in her planner, cooking new recipes, learning about managing money, and developing her own TV schedule to avoid binge watching.
